How will my donation help?

St. Anthony's Hospice depends on the financial support of others in order to provide hospice care to patients in need. We are committed to providing care, regardless of financial circumstances, and your gift or contribution can make a difference in many ways. We take pride in knowing your donations go back to the communities we serve. Your donations assist us in ensuring that our ministry remains strong. Your tax-deductible gift will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged.

Who benefits from my help?
Your family, your friends, your neighbors as well as your entire community.

We rely on the generosity of others to extend our services to patients and families, regardless of their ability to pay.

What other ways can I contribute?

Following are additional ways to donate and help support our work:

  • Ensuring that St. Anthony's Hospice "donation envelopes" are made available by the family's funeral director. Please mention this desire to the Hospice nurse or volunteer and he/she will arrange for the envelopes to be available.
  • Specify St. Anthony's Hospice in the obituary, usually by stating "The family requests that donations be made to St. Anthony's Hospice, 10016 Kennerly Road, St. Louis, MO 63128.
  • Many people make a memorial gift at the request of a Hospice patient’s family. We also receive and welcome gifts in memory of anyone. Gifts can be made in the name of anyone who was special to you, whether he/she was a Hospice patient or not.
  • We also receive gifts in honor of individuals and gifts commemorating special occasions. Anniversaries, birthdays, even weddings are all occasions that people choose to ask for gifts to St. Anthony's Hospice in lieu of presents. Holidays like Memorial Day, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are yearly opportunities to make memorial gifts.
  • Make a donation as part of your future. Planned gifts may take the form of bequests to St. Anthony's Hospice and can be made through wills, living trusts, life insurance policies and retirement plans. Note: If you are considering making such a gift, it is important that you consult with an attorney and/or financial advisor to help you make the best decision.

I cannot donate at this time but how else can I help?

Consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Our volunteers are truly the "heart of hospice" because they are involved in almost everything that we do. They exemplify the Hospice philosophy of neighbor helping neighbor. For more information on volunteering, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 314-525-7374.
